La pelea estaba originalmente pactada por el título interino del peso gallo de la AMB, pero a ultimo momento se realizó por el título interino supermosca de la AMB, que también a último momento había quedado vacante pues la poseedora de ese título, Carolina "Chapita" Gutierrez renunció al mismo no se sabe muy bien por que razón, pues lo había defendido recientemente.
